LHH has partnered with our client, a privately held manufacturing company, that is seeking a Staff Accountant. This role will focus on revenue recognition and you will need a strong understanding of ASC 606, revenue, COGS, and Accounts Receivable. We are seeking someone with a curious mindset that is self-driven and a strong accounting and finance foundation. This role is onsite in Burlington County, NJ. You will be joining a company in business for 50+ years
Key Responsibilities: - Support revenue recognition and ensure transactions are recorded appropriately in accordance with ASC 606.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including collections follow-up and payment research
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and timely
- Review contracts, orders, and billing documentation for accuracy
- Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial data and provide reporting support to management
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- ASC 606, Revenue Recognition
- Experience with billing, accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or general ledger activities preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall computer proficiency
- ERP experience is a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000
