Job Description
A nationally recognized health services network is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to oversee revenue accounting, grant and contribution recognition, and the monthly close process in a remote environment aligned to East Coast hours.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (EST hours)
- Setting: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Lead the revenue accounting process to ensure accurate, timely, and complete recording of activity
- Manage grant and contribution accounting, including cash receipt reconciliations, donor restriction classification, and pledge review
- Support the monthly close process and help produce accurate financial reports and account analyses
- Partner with development, grants, finance, and program teams to guide proper revenue recognition
- Research accounting issues, document conclusions, and support audits and year-end procedures
- Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of progressive Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to research and support accounting conclusions with authoritative guidance
- Experience with Monthly Close, Reconciliations, and Revenue Recognition
Desired Skills:
- Nonprofit Accounting experience
- Experience with Auditing
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct.
- Experience reviewing grant restrictions, conditions, and multi-year pledges
- Ability to manage large data sets with strong attention to detail
