Revenue & Billing Operations Lead

Target total compensation ranges from: $214,000 - $228,000, including a fixed annual salary of $170,000 - $188,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits. This is the expected range for the role. Final compensation is determined by the level assessed through the interview process and based on how your experience and skills map to our career ladder.

Equity grants are issued in good faith, subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.

About the role: 

As the Revenue and Billing Operations Lead based in our New York office, you will pioneer and lead Rokt’s Billing Assurance and Support function. You will report to our VP of Finance and Transformation to oversee all mission-critical operational processes, driving best-in-class, friction-free workflows for our customers and employees in a fast-paced, AI-first environment. In addition, you will serve as a strategic thought leader across the organization, championing automated and scalable solutions to support our rapid growth and public company readiness.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in GTM, RPD, Legal, and Accounting to optimize revenue streams at scale. You will leverage your deep knowledge of financial systems, automation, and cutting-edge AI technologies to transform customer support and billing operations. Additionally, you will build and empower high-performing teams, establishing clear priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs) to align operations with broader business goals.

We are an AI-first company. We're a team of builders. That means the person who spots the problem is usually the person who fixes it, and "someone should build a tool for that" is treated as a volunteer sign-up sheet. We use AI and automation tools to move faster, and expect you to figure things out when the path isn’t obvious. If you prefer established processes and clearly defined lanes, you probably won’t like it here.

How your future team uses AI: 

To reconcile invoice data, surface anomalies, and draft the first pass at dispute documentation. The team builds these tools in-house and treats every recurring manual step as an automation to be built.

How you will contribute: 

• Build and lead an AI-First, high-performing  team, focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to scale with Rokt’s growth
• Partner closely with GTM, RPD, Legal and Accounting to drive frictionless processes to support our Customers and drive Revenue growth and Cash efficiency
• Own and maintain effective SOX controls across all areas of responsibility
• Act as the primary liaison to external auditors for transactional audit evidence for billing
• Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation of processes for internal purposes and clear Support Handbooks that define how the business engages with our teams

Requirements

What you bring:

• At least 8 years in operational accounting roles. Experience at a public company is a plus
• At least  4  years of progressive experience developing leaders and teams
• Proven track record of maintaining financial operations and controls with precision and rigor
• Demonstrated ability to scale processes, controls, and financial systems in dynamic organizations by harnessing emerging technologies
• Creative solution-led approach with the ability to assess complex situations that require you to consider multiple perspectives, such as financial, operational, and strategic angles
• Knowledge of international operations and global complexity, including experience entering new markets
• Outstanding executive presence, communication skills, and ability to quickly build strong rapport with leaders and influence collaborators
• Intellectual curiosity, analytical capability and a pragmatic approach to business is a must

Bonus Points

• Experience at a publicly traded company or in a pre-IPO environment preparing for public company readiness
• Knowledge of international operations and global billing complexity, including multi-currency and cross-border invoicing
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools for process automation, data reconciliation, or anomaly detection
• Background in adtech, ecommerce, or marketplace billing models
