Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Epic Trainer will design, develop, and maintain system training materials and methods for end users in order to drive value across Revenue Cycle. Administer training sessions, including attendance proficiency assessment and class evaluation at the end of each session for Epic.
- Training Design & Maintenance: Designs, develops, and maintains Epic system training materials and methods for Revenue Cycle end users.
- Training Delivery & Assessment: Administers Epic training sessions, including tracking attendance, assessing proficiency, and evaluating classes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborates with Epic teams to align training material development with project timelines.
- Application & Workflow Expertise: Gains an in-depth understanding of Epic application functionality, configuration, operational workflows, and policies to inform training.
- Program Development & Improvement: Develops and implements credentialed training programs and materials, actively seeking process improvement opportunities.
- Environment Management & Analytics: Develops and maintains the master training environment, utilizing reporting and analytics to identify further opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare or related field required.
- Three or more years extensive experience in managing system training, user access and credentialing
- High level of technical understanding and proficiency in host system functionality, integration, and education
- Must be a strategic thinker and insightful decision maker with ability to analyze and solve problems and have demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to direct changes to existing routines or practices to meet changing organizational needs.
- Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to educate and interact with all levels of healthcare professionals.
- Required Licensure and Certifications Existing certification in hospital and physician billing required for Epic
