Revenue & Receivables Accounting Analyst

The Revenue & Receivables Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting operational accounting, financial reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution activities for e-commerce and partner marketplace programs. This role owns key day-to-day and month-end financial processes, including transaction analysis, account reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and financial reporting. The analyst works closely with business, operations, and technology teams to investigate issues, improve data accuracy, strengthen financial controls, and support scalable processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing, billing, reporting, and reconciliation of high-volume transactions across multiple sales channels and partner programs.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily and month-end reconciliations of sales, payments, commissions, receivables, and related financial activity across multiple systems. Prepare recurring reporting, month-end support schedules, and audit documentation to support financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Investigate and resolve reporting, system, data quality, transaction, billing, payment, and reconciliation issues by partnering with business and technology teams to identify root causes, prioritize corrective actions, and drive timely resolution of discrepancies, including settlements, returns, commissions, chargebacks, aging balances, failed transactions, and system-generated exceptions.
• Analyze trends, variances, risks, and recurring issues to identify process improvement opportunities, strengthen financial controls, support system enhancements and operational initiatives, and proactively communicate and resolve operational and month-end issues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain fee structures, commission rates, and billing configurations, including validating calculations, supporting rate updates, and ensuring accurate invoicing and partner billing.
• Support seasonal business activities and operational initiatives, including high-volume transaction reviews, dispute resolution, and other accounting or operational support needs across the broader team.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ months of accounting, finance, reconciliation, or operational finance experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, receivables, or transaction-based accounting.
• Experience with systems such as Oracle, OneStream, ECT, ReSA, EDW, or similar ERP/reporting platforms.
• Experience with process improvement, identifying and resolving system or reporting exceptions.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
