Overview

The\u202fEngineering, Enablement & Operations (EE&O)\u202fteam enables the\u202fMicrosoft Commercial Business\u202fto better serve every person and organization's transformation and economic success. We do this by designing and managing the systems, tools, and strategies that drive commercial excellence spanning compensation, performance insights, planning, skilling, and sales tools. The\u202fEE&O Revenue Strategy team\u202fplays\u202fan important role\u202fin empowering every person in the Commercial Business to serve customers better by activating and transforming our commercial revenue engine. We are hiring Revenue Strategy Senior Manager and Director roles to lead initiatives that shape how the business plans, operates, and evolves. This role will partner across teams to drive complex, cross-functional work forward. The work may span larger multi-year transformations, field activation against those changes, and establishing rigor and agents in our sales teams to accelerate revenue. In this role, you will bring sound judgment and point of view, define enterprise guardrails, resolve cross-organizational trade-offs, and influence senior stakeholders to deliver durable, scalable outcomes across segments.

Responsibilities

  • Cross Functional Joint Planning: Builds and maintains trusted relationships with internal teams and serves as a subject matter resource for business leaders by applying sales, product, and market knowledge to inform strategic planning decisions.
  • Problem Solving and Insights: Synthesizes findings across sales projects into insights that shape go-to-market objectives. Develops recommendations and perspectives on growth opportunities and strategic issues. Builds frameworks and listening capabilities and works end-to-end to ensure solutions are implemented, and feedback informs continuous improvement.
  • Sales Insights, Readiness, and Activation: Partners with business, platform, and tools teams to deliver key metrics and equip sales and partner teams.
  • Sales Landing: Contributes to sales landing strategies across planning cycles.
  • Sales Market Research and Analysis: Conducts market research and analysis (product reports, sales data, geographic data, stakeholder feedback, and specialized input) to identify opportunities for Microsoft sales strategies.
  • Sales Strategy Project/Program Leadership: Leads sales strategy projects end-to-end by defining plans, goals, deliverables, and timelines while guiding team members.
  • Revenue Strategy Planning & Model Design: Contributes to revenue planning and sales model design by identifying opportunities to improve planning quality, execution consistency, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Transformation Opportunity Identification: Identifies gaps and evaluates opportunities for new strategy or transformation work that supports business growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field

  • OR equivalent experience

  • 3+ years experience in Near Term Strategy (1\u20132 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

  • Experience influencing business leaders and driving alignment across complex, cross-functional teams without direct authority in matrixed environments

  • Experience operating at the intersection of strategy, planning, and field execution within large, enterprise-scale organizations

  • Ability to translate strategic direction into clear, actionable plans that drive business impact

  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools and methodologies to drive business insights, operational efficiency, or strategic decision-making

Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
