Revit Drafter (MEP)

Location: San Diego, CA 92131

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm, Friday 8am - 12pm

Pay: $30 - $38/hr DOE

Temporary Project, Duration: 6-months

***Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Revit Drafter to join our team. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed construction documents and building models using Revit for a variety of projects, including Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Federal/Military, and Water/Wastewater facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong MEP drafting experience, work collaboratively with engineers and architects, and be comfortable working in an on-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate Revit models and construction documents for building projects.
  • Produce detailed drawings, plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and construction details.
  • Draft and revise blueprints for municipal, state, and federal facilities.
  • Support projects across multiple sectors, including:
    • Healthcare
    • Education
    • Municipal
    • Federal/Military
    • Water/Wastewater
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and project requirements are met.
  • Incorporate design changes and updates into drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Assist with multidisciplinary coordination, with a focus on MEP systems and design integration.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of professional Revit drafting experience.
  • Experience drafting and modeling MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
  • Experience producing construction documents and blueprints for commercial, institutional, municipal, state, and federal projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of building design, construction documentation, and drafting standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Certificate, technical diploma, or related education in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Federal/Military, or Water/Wastewater projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination processes.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
