Job Title: Rework Assembler (1st Shift)
Location: Solon, OH 44139
Pay rate: $18.00 - $20.00/ hr
Work schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time | Flexible Hours Offered: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch break), Monday through Friday.
The Rework Assembler performs mechanical teardown, modification, data logging, and reassembly of electronic 4-port Demand Response Units (DRUs). This technical position requires a foundational background in electronics or printed circuit boards (PCBs), basic computer data entry skills, and meticulous manual dexterity to ensure units are properly updated, tracked, and repackaged according to strict quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Electronic Unit Disassembly: Systematically unbox incoming shipments, remove the 12 individual DRUs from their packaging, and preserve all original box materials for future shipping.
Component Teardown: Cut away localized cable ties on each unit, open the chassis housings, and carefully extract the securing screws from the two 30-amp relay boards.
Hardware & Material Control: Maintain strict accountability of all dislodged hardware during the disassembly process, depositing screws into designated green inventory bins and loading prepared components onto roll-around shop carts.
Precision Technical Reassembly: Following the completion of the core board modifications, utilize calibrated tools to accurately torque the 30-amp connectors back onto the relay boards.
Serial Tracking & Compliance Data Entry: Scan and log product serial numbers accurately onto the production tracking sheet, and apply specific revision stickers directly to the updated internal hardware.
Repackaging & Shipment Preparation: Return the completed units to their original matching boxes. Apply required tracking markers, including a Red Dot sticker and an official Revision label, onto the exterior of the container before stacking boxes onto finished goods skids for final logistics.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Technical Background: Solid foundational experience working in an electronics environment or directly handling printed circuit boards (PC Boards).
Computer Literacy & Data Entry: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically utilizing Microsoft Excel for the accurate data entry of alpha-numeric product serial numbers.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort using basic hand tools, wire cutters, and calibrated torque tools while keeping small hardware organized.
Attention to Detail: Ability to strictly follow a multi-step mechanical sequence without missing tracking labels or swapping packaging materials.

Safety Footwear: Hard, closed-toe shoes are strictly required at all times on the facility floor.
Education & Experience
Experience: Prior electronic assembly, hardware rework, or electrical component manufacturing experience is required.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
