Description
SAIC seeks a highly skilled RF Electronics Test and Assembly Field Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions in Colorado Springs, Colorado in support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer.
Job Duties:
Utilize and maintain a variety of test equipment, including signal generators, bench power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers, to ensure successful testing and troubleshooting of systems and components.
Assemble, test, and repair electronic components and systems per IPC class 3 soldering standards, aimed at high-reliability applications.
Interpret and analyze system-level and component-level electrical schematics to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Maintain precise technical reports and documentation of testing outcomes, assembly procedures, and quality control records.
Conduct RF testing to evaluate characteristics of couplers, filters, and amplifiers, and prepare performance metric reports.
Qualifications
Bachelors and 9+ years' experience, or equivalent. Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
Active Secret Clearance
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in RF testing, general electronics, and assembly.
Familiarity with high-reliability assembly practices for aerospace, defense, or similar industries.
Proven track record of quality assurance and documentation for system testing and assembly.
Desired:
Experience sustaining GBRs, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PARCS and UEWR.
Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
Experience working in secure environments or with classified systems.
Knowledge of DoD or military system requirements.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
