OverviewSimTech, Inc. is seeking a RF Engineer, Entry/Mid-Level to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves supporting the design, development, testing, and evaluation of advanced RF sensor and seeker systems for Department of Defense applications. The engineer will develop RF/microwave hardware, conduct system analysis, prototype, perform lab and field testing, and analyze performance data to validate system capabilities.ResponsibilitiesDevelop advanced RF/microwave system and subsystem hardware designs as part of RF sensor and seeker systems.Perform analysis, prototyping and end‑item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments.Provide DoD support in RF characterization and definition of new RF signal generation systems.Perform lab testing of developed RF/microwave hardware using vector/network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and anechoic chambers.Analyze measured data from laboratory and/or field testing; compare expected performance to actual results.Other responsibilities as assigned.Minimum Qualifications & Education RequirementsBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.4 to 10 years of relevant experience.Proof of thorough understanding of radar systems applied to missile seeker technology.Experience with coherent waveform modulations (Linear‑FM, Barker codes, BPSK, etc.).Experience with magnetron‑based and solid‑state amplifier transmitter systems.Experience developing algorithms for FFT, CFAR and reconstructing Range/Doppler maps from I/Q stored data.Ability to develop and interpret requirements, data sets, reports, and specifications.Ability to characterize RF signal generation, fabricate and calibrate RF hardware, and perform radar‑level assessments.Expertise in RF techniques, components, signal generation, and programming in MATLAB and Python.Self‑starter, team player, strong oral and written communication skills.U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance and ability to maintain clearance.Physical RequirementsGeneral office and laboratory setting using standard equipment. May require moving equipment up to moderate weights, use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, footwear).
