FES is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA with branch offices through the U.S. and Canada to ensure a rapid response and face‑to‑face contact with our clients and staff.Job DescriptionUses solid RF engineering principles and planning tools to maximize coverage, capacity, and performance of GSM and UMTS radio networks. Implements new features and network parameter optimization. Routinely monitors and reviews key performance indicators (KPIs) of radio networks. Works with other engineers and operations to address discovered issues. Participates with federal, state, and local jurisdictions to ensure regulatory and zoning compliance. Provides engineering support to sales and customers. Evaluates capacity requirements of radio networks and works with other departments to meet growth needs.Qualifications10+ years of combined experience mainly in the design and optimization of LTE, UMTS, and GSM networksMust have GSM/UMTS co‑existing network optimization, traffic balance, and inter/intra‑network handover experienceExperience with network performance for GSM/UMTS1 year of LTE optimization and initial tuning using E/// equipmentAn RF engineer must use creativity and sound judgment to provide the proper design and optimization of the portion of the network assigned to them. An RF engineer also has flexibility in managing their workflow on a daily basis, using discretion to spend time according to priority set by management.
