RF Engineer
Location: Overland Park, KS

Daily Responsibilities
- Work on assigned RF engineering projects and technical tasks.
- Perform end‑to‑end microwave (MW) link design, fading analysis, path profiling, and feasibility studies.
- Conduct link budget calculations, reliability analysis, and path availability assessments.
- Design, model, and optimize MW links using Pathloss 6, including:
- Terrain profiling
- Diffraction analysis
- Fade margin calculations
- Interference mitigation
- Perform MW path surveys, including:
- Line‑of‑sight (LOS) verification
- Obstacle identification
- Structure validation
- Field documentation
- Review and validate MW radio and antenna configurations, tower loading, and equipment specifications.
- Evaluate and integrate MW radio platforms (Nokia, Aviat, or similar vendors).
- Design, model, and optimize wireless technologies (Narrowband, LTE/5G, Land Mobile Radio) using Infovista Planet, including:
- Coverage analysis
- Frequency planning
- Interference analysis
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Pathloss 6 for MW link design and analysis.
- Experience using Infovista Planet for wireless system modeling and optimization.
- Strong background in RF engineering, MW transport systems, and wireless technologies.
Related experience includes:
RF design
Microwave transport systems
Wireless system engineering
Experience Requirements
Minimum: 1 year of related RF engineering experience.
Preferred: 5+ years (as indicated in the job description)
Education: Bachelors in Engineering
Travel Requirements
0–25% travel, within the United States.
