This role is onsite and based inSan Diego, CA.Key ResponsibilitiesDerive and document RF subsystem (UC, DC, PA and LNA) requirements from system or top‑level requirementsProduce RF schematics to capture the designLayout and/or guide the layout of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) based on schematicValidate the design; troubleshoot and test complex RF circuit boards and assembliesDevelop RF test procedures, possibly performing them when neededAssist with manufacturing of complex PCBAs and resolve issues with their integration into higher assembliesProvide system integration and test troubleshooting supportBe able to meet aggressive/accelerated schedule deadlinesSupport internal and external design and development gate reviews with related documentationSupport customer meetingsParticipate in proposals and trade studies, including evaluating contractor and subcontractor proposals for technical feasibilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Master's degree with an emphasis on RF6+ years of experience in RF hardware/schematic design (preferably Altium) from UHF to Ka‑bandExperience designing LNAs and Power Amplifiers up to 10W at Ka/Ku‑bandAnalysis/simulations, PCB layout (preferably Altium) and test experience from UHF to Ka‑bandExperience with RF test equipment and lab practicesCapable of multi‑tasking; working on multiple projects & supporting production activitiesStrong technical background; capable of coming up‑to‑speed quickly on new technologiesPreferred Qualifications (maximum 2)Knowledge of space environment design issues including EMI/EMC, radiation, temperature, shock, vibration a plusKnowledge of Python, C/C++, MATLAB & scripting/test automation a plusExperience with EDA software such as Altium, AWR/MWO, Genesys/ADS, etc., a plusCompensationThe good faith base salary range for this role is $125,000–$195,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
