Come join the Lockheed Martin Space Radio Frequency (RF) Talent Center (RFTC) team in Littleton, CO and shape the future! You can join our mission and contribute to challenging programs in support of Space Vehicles, Hypersonics, Human Space Flight and Interplanetary Missions, Missile Defense, and more.

As an RF Engineer within Lockheed Martin Space, you will perform the following:

  • Support missile testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands on work, solving complex hardware/software issues, and creating clear technical documentation for internal and external users.
  • Execute missile level RF communications systems test and integration efforts.
  • Write and maintain operational, configuration, and user documentation (SOPs, test plans, maintenance guides).
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure test readiness and data integrity.
  • Participate in post test reviews, capture lessons learned, and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate STE needs with Production
  • Coordinate Test and integration efforts across the integration labs.
  • Be the glue that pulls together and coordinates the necessary quality, manufacturing, integration, test execution, and other key activities assuring they work in concert to maintain schedule and move product through the factory.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, RF Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting RF test, or ground test hardware.
  • Experience executing test procedures, troubleshooting hardware issues, and/or coordinating with others to resolve problems on site.
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment.
  • Active Secret clearance; US citizenship required

Desired Skills:

  • Strong technical writing skills; experience producing clear, concise documentation for engineers, technicians, factory floor personnel, and customers.
  • 2-4 years of hands on experience supporting RF test, or ground test hardware.
  • Project or team lead experience on small scale test projects.
  • Familiarity with requirement traceability tools (Cameo, DOORS) or basic MBSE concepts.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, or Python for data acquisition and analysis.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $82,900 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
