Position Overview
We are seeking an RF Engineering Technician to provide technical support to RF engineers and microwave design professionals on a variety of engineering and development programs.
This role involves troubleshooting RF systems, setting up test equipment, collecting and analyzing test data, supporting laboratory testing, and preparing engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to RF engineers on engineering and development projects.
Troubleshoot RF and digital circuits.
Set up and operate RF test stands and laboratory test equipment.
Collect and record test data including Power, S-Parameters, Harmonics, Phase Noise, and Noise Figure.
Gather, maintain, compile, and format technical data, laboratory results, and engineering changes.
Produce engineering documentation including reports, block diagrams, schematics, and flow charts.
Perform engineering testing, data analysis, and mathematical calculations.
Build wire harnesses and perform assembly to engineering drawings.
Support engineering evaluations and laboratory testing activities.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of experience troubleshooting RF and digital circuits.
3+ years of experience using RF laboratory equipment, including: Network Analyzers (PNA), Signal Generators, Signal/Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies
Experience setting up test benches and RF test equipment.
Experience collecting RF measurements including Power, S-Parameters, Harmonics, Phase Noise, and Noise Figure.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to read and interpret block diagrams and electrical schematics.
Experience working with electrical components and ESD-sensitive devices.
Ability to perform assembly to engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
Experience using microscopes for electronic assembly and inspection.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Electronics or a related technical field.
Experience with microelectronics assembly and soldering.
Familiarity with RF modules including amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation, and frequency conversion circuits.
Strong verbal communication skills.
General knowledge of RF and microwave systems.
