The RF manufacturing engineering is and entry level position responsible for ensuring that RF components and assemblies are built efficiently, consistently, and to exact performance standards. In this role, the engineer supports production by developing and improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and working closely with design, quality, and operations teams to maintain product reliability.


Responsibilities
 

  • Develop, improve, and support manufacturing processes by evaluating product requirements, fabrication methods, materials, tooling, and equipment.
  • Work with technicians and assemblers to test, tune, and debug RF products to achieve performance targets.
  • Maintain equipment uptime by coordinating maintenance, repairs, and service as needed.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
  • Evaluate and optimize manufacturing methods through research, testing, observation, and collaboration with operators, technicians, and equipment vendors.
  • Improve efficiency by developing fixtures, implementing automated test scripts, and automation for all production.
  • Ensure product and process quality by designing test methods, establishing standards, verifying process capability, and supporting compliance with customer specifications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including reports, block diagrams, flow diagrams, interconnection drawings, schematics, and production readiness materials.
  • Support cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and operations functions to drive product development and production execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving electrical, mechanical, materials, and manufacturing challenges in a high-mix environment.
  • Support RF design optimization through circuit analysis, simulation, component selection, PCB layout, mechanical packaging, and system integration.


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Associates Degree or BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, mechanical or related technical field)
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Diligent, Attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
  • Familiar with hand tools, mechanical and electrical assembly, drawings, and dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in working in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface including MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

 

Preferred:

  • 2-5 years of Technician or Engineering level work
  • Active Security Clearance.
  • Background in Defense Industry.
  • Excellent technical communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Project Management skills: Proven project management experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through full product lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery of complex RF/microwave systems in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
