Our client is seeking a highly skilled RF Spatial Engineer to design, simulate, and validate advanced RF and microwave hardware used in aerospace, defense, and satellite communication systems. This role spans concept development, electromagnetic simulation, hardware design, prototyping, testing, and production support.

You will work closely with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, test, and quality teams to deliver high‑power, high‑frequency RF subsystems that meet demanding performance, reliability, and environmental requirements.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | Relocation Assistance: Limited

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot RF hardware issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Select, evaluate, and qualify RF components for high‑reliability applications.
  • Perform RF, microwave, and electromagnetic simulations using ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST.
  • Support NPI activities including design reviews, prototype builds, and production ramp‑up.
  • Stay current on emerging RF/microwave technologies and contribute to technology roadmaps.
  • Design spatial RF architectures including quasi‑optical and spatial power‑combining systems.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including design reports, test results, and root‑cause analyses.
  • Characterize prototype hardware for gain, efficiency, linearity, noise figure, stability, and thermal behavior.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
  • Develop test plans and configure RF measurement systems using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
  • Architect RF/microwave circuits and subsystems such as power amplifiers (SSPAs), BUCs, converters, synthesizers, filters, mixers, and T/R modules.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Ability to work onsite full‑time in Cypress, CA.
  • Proficiency with RF simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST.
  • Experience with high‑power RF hardware such as SSPAs or BUCs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, microwave theory, and electromagnetic behavior.
  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical analysis including calculus and spatial reasoning.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing, simulating, testing, and validating RF/microwave circuits or subsystems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting NPI, manufacturing, or production test environments.
  • Experience resolving design, test, or production issues in high‑power RF systems.
  • Familiarity with thermal management, reliability engineering, or environmental qualification.
  • Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW), radar, satellite communications, or aerospace/defense RF systems.
