is currently seeking an RF Test and Power Engineer for our client Northrop Grumman at location Baltimore, Maryland, United States.
Job Description
The RF Test and Power Engineer will support the development, integration, and testing of production hardware with activities ranging from hands-on testing and troubleshooting to analysis of failure trends and root cause corrective actions.
Duties include:
• Designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment • Troubleshooting RF and digital hardware • Supporting First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and analyzing test data to identify early trends • Collaborating with design engineering to develop hardware improvements • Troubleshooting and training technicians • Monitoring product yields and attending program meetings to report findings
The ideal candidate will interface with manufacturing management, test technicians, production engineers, and program support teams while maintaining a working knowledge of RF theory, power concepts, and digital circuit design.
Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of experience or Masters degree --Required
Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics, and block diagrams --Required
Experience with power diodes, transistors, capacitors, and electrical circuitry --Required
Experience with high power test equipment, oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator --Required
Experience troubleshooting power components and power systems --Required
Current active DoD Secret level clearance --Required
U.S. citizenship --Required
Advanced degree in Engineering, Power specific or related STEM discipline --Preferred
Experience with Lab Windows CVI CC programming --Preferred
Test Stand programming experience --Preferred
Familiarity with differential digital interfaces like LVDS --Preferred
PXIPXIe and VME bus experience --Preferred
