PGS Worldwide is seeking an RF Test and Power Engineer in Baltimore, MD for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role is heavily hands-on, supporting the testing, troubleshooting, and performance of RF, digital, and power hardware used in advanced defense systems.

Required Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics, specifications, and block diagrams
  • Experience with RF and power electronics (diodes, transistors, capacitors, circuitry)
  • Experience using test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)
  • Experience troubleshooting power systems and electrical hardware
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience troubleshooting complex circuitry at system or component level
  • Experience with RF theory and high-speed digital systems
  • Experience with LabWindows/CVI or C/C++
  • Experience with PXI/PXIe or VME systems
  • Familiarity with LVDS or other digital interfaces
  • Experience supporting production or manufacturing test environments

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop test methods and equipment for RF and power systems
  • Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF, digital, and power hardware
  • Analyze test data and identify trends impacting performance and yield
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware issues
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product performance and test processes
  • Support production yields and delivery schedules
  • Train and support technicians in troubleshooting and testing activities
  • Participate in program reviews and report on performance, issues, and improvements

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 1st Shift (9/80 schedule)
  • Fully onsite in Baltimore, MD
  • Up to 10% travel

Pay

  • Up to $89.77/hr
