Environment: Telecom Engineering / Cloud Infrastructure / Automation
We are seeking an experienced Ribbon Deno Engineer with deep technical expertise in Ribbon Client, PSX, SIP/VoIP, automation, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can design and configure complex voice environments while also helping modernize how infrastructure is deployed, monitored, tested, and maintained.
The ideal candidate combines strong telecommunications engineering expertise with automation, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and an interest in applying AI-assisted engineering to improve efficiency and reliability.
Design, configure, and engineer Ribbon Client environments, including routing, policy, high availability, and upgrades
Develop and maintain complex PSX routing logic, number translations, and policy controls
Utilize RAMP to develop and operationalize automation workflows
Engineer and troubleshoot SIP/VoIP call flows, including SDP, TLS/SRTP, codecs, signaling, and media
Implement Configuration as Code practices using version control, templates, and controlled environment promotion
Apply Infrastructure as Code, IaC, principles to create repeatable infrastructure builds and improve configuration consistency
Utilize Terraform and/or CloudFormation concepts to support infrastructure automation
Develop automation using Python or Java
Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and configuration changes, including testing, approvals, deployment, and rollback strategies
Support AWS environments with an understanding of VPCs, networking, IAM, security, and cloud cost considerations
Utilize Amazon CloudWatch for logs, metrics, monitoring, and alerting
Identify, detect, and remediate configuration drift to maintain desired-state environments
Improve monitoring and observability using SLIs, SLOs, alert tuning, and noise reduction
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema fundamentals, indexing, performance considerations, and backup/restore concepts
Support data inventory and metadata modernization initiatives, including API integrations and data catalog patterns
Contribute to internal engineering tools and dashboards, with React and TypeScript experience beneficial
Develop and maintain automated and AI-assisted test cases
Apply Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, engineering, testing, and automation while independently validating outputs using sound engineering judgment
We are looking for strong hands-on experience across several of the following areas:
Ribbon Client engineering and configuration
PSX routing, translations, and policy control
RAMP automation
SIP / VoIP
SIP call flows and SDP
TLS / SRTP
Voice codecs
High availability and platform upgrades

Experience with React and TypeScript is beneficial for candidates who will contribute to internal engineering tools, dashboards, and operational interfaces.
We are also particularly interested in engineers who actively embrace AI-assisted engineering, including using GenAI tools to accelerate troubleshooting and automation, developing AI-driven test cases, and critically evaluating AI-generated outputs before implementing solutions.
This role requires more than maintaining an existing telecom environment. We are looking for an engineer who can design, automate, modernize, and improve it.
Successful candidates will understand the telecommunications layer deeply while also being comfortable working across cloud infrastructure, automation, configuration management, CI/CD, observability, and modern engineering practices.
You should be able to move between SIP call flows, Ribbon routing and policy, AWS infrastructure, automation code, deployment pipelines, and production observability while maintaining a strong focus on reliability and repeatability.
If you have deep Ribbon, PSX, and SIP/VoIP engineering expertise and want to combine that experience with AWS, Python or Java, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, observability, and AI-assisted engineering, we want to hear from you.
Apply today to help engineer and modernize a mission-critical telecommunications environment.
