Job Description – Rideshare & UM/UIM Associate Attorney

A growing civil litigation defense firm is seeking a California-licensed Associate Attorney with 4–5 years of litigation experience to join its San Francisco office, focusing on rideshare and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) defense matters.

This role offers substantial responsibility, direct client contact, and the opportunity to independently manage a litigation caseload while working closely with experienced partners and trial attorneys.

Responsibilities
Handle rideshare and UM/UIM defense matters from inception through resolution
Manage court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and motion practice
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy and litigation support
Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and experts
Provide timely case evaluations, reporting, and litigation updates

Qualifications
Active California Bar license required
4+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
Experience drafting and arguing motions and taking/defending depositions
Prior insurance defense, rideshare, or UM/UIM experience strongly preferred
Strong writing, analytical, and case management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced litigation environment

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000 DOE
