Rigger / Millwright

The company is an industrial and steel company based in Mesa, Arizona, and has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.

The company is looking to hire experienced Riggers / Millwrights with at least 5 years of experience in rigging or millwright work, including equipment setting, installation, and alignment. Riggers / Millwrights are responsible for safely moving, positioning, setting, installing, and aligning heavy machinery, equipment, and industrial components. Candidates should have experience working around cranes and operating forklifts, as well as the ability to read blueprints and perform layout using lasers and transits. NCCCO or NCCER rigger certification is required. Must be able to pass a drug test.

Pay depends on experience.

• Safely rig, lift, move, set, position, and align heavy machinery and industrial equipment
  
• Perform equipment setting and mechanical installation according to project specifications
  
• Read, understand, and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and equipment layouts
  
• Perform layout and equipment alignment using lasers, transits, levels, and other precision measuring tools
  
• Select and properly use rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, chains, wire rope, spreader bars, and other lifting devices
  
• Work safely around cranes and communicate effectively with crane operators and other crew members
  
• Direct and signal crane operators during lifting and setting operations
  
• Inspect rigging equipment before use and identify damaged or unsafe equipment
  
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed
  
• Install, position, level, and align machinery, equipment, and structural components
  
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other tools required for millwright and rigging work
  
• Follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures, and policies
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
  
• Work effectively with other trades, supervisors, crane operators, and project personnel
  
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
  
• Have own tools
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of rigging or millwright experience, including equipment setting and alignment.
  
• NCCCO or NCCER Rigger certification.
  
• Ability to read blueprints and perform layout using lasers, transits, and other measuring tools.
  
• Forklift operating experience.
  
• Experience working around cranes and heavy equipment.
  
• Knowledge of rigging practices and safe material handling.
  
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work at heights.
  
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  
• Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
