The Rigger is responsible for safely welding, assembling, and rigging structural steel components according to drawings and specifications. This role supports efficient production flow while maintaining New Millennium's high standards for quality, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations on structural steel components in accordance with shop drawings and production requirements
- Assemble steel members on the welding table using proper fit, alignment, and rigging techniques
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and weld symbols
- Inspect welds and completed assemblies to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Previous welding and or structural steel fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and basic weld symbols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and lift materials as required
