PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Responsible for preparing abstracts of title for property to determine legal ownership. Acquires private servitudes for new services and/or line relocations. Assists property owners with Right-of-Way or Servitude issues. Executes Hold Harmless Agreements. Records documents at courthouse and inputs information into GIS. Current position is at Lafayette Utilities System.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school, formal training in real estate appraisal/sales and experience in relocation, real estate, appraisal or right-of-way work.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Driver's license required to apply.
Valid Louisiana driver's license prior to appointment required.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written test.
