Right-of-Way Document Specialist (Contract) 
Industry: Midstream Energy / Oil & Gas
Location: Downtown Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% In-Office
Parking: Reimbursed (up to $150 per month) 
Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour DOE (up to $50/hour for highly qualified candidates)
Assignment Length: 9 - 12 months 

To qualify for the TEMP/CONTRACT position, the candidate MUST have experience working with easements, assignments, and related property documentation in SharePoint. 

POSITION OVERVIEW
A leading company within the energy industry is seeking a Right-of-Way Document Specialist to support the management, organization, and maintenance of critical land and right-of-way records. This role is ideal for professionals with experience handling legal, land, right-of-way, or real estate documentation who possess strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining document accuracy, supporting record management initiatives, and ensuring critical land records are properly reviewed, organized, and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize a variety of right-of-way, legal, and real estate documentation.
  • Perform document control functions, including tracking, updating, scanning, and archiving records.
  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with recordkeeping standards.
  • Update and maintain data management systems and electronic document repositories.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing and accessibility of critical records.
  • Research, review, and organize easements, assignments, and related land records.
  • Support large-scale document digitization and records management efforts, including SharePoint document maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in document management, records administration, or document control required.
  • Experience within right-of-way, land administration, real estate, title, or paralegal environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of easements, assignments, land records, and related documentation.
  • Proficiency with document management systems, SharePoint, and data entry processes.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
Targeted Background Experience
 
  • Candidates with direct experience researching, reviewing, organizing, and maintaining land and right-of-way records will be highly regarded.
  • Particular emphasis is placed on experience working with easements, assignments, and related property documentation, as this role will be heavily focused on document review, scanning, indexing, and records management within a SharePoint environment.
