The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is one of the nation's leading history museums and the most visited historic site in North Texas. Located within the historic Texas School Book Depository, the Museum preserves and shared the story of President John F. Kennedy, the assassination of President Kennedy, and the enduring legacy of the 1960s through exhibitions, educational programming, collection and public engagement.
Located within the historic Texas School Book Depository and accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Museum stewards a significant collection of photographs, films, oral histories, and objects. These collections are used by researchers, educators, filmmakers, publishers, media organizations and cultural institutions around the world, making thoughtful rights management and responsible access essential to the Museum's work.
The Opportunity
The Sixth Floor Museum seeks a detailed-oriented and collaborative Rights & Reproductions Coordinator to manage copyright, permissions, licensing and reproduction requests related to the Museum's collections and institutional assets.
Reporting to the Head of Collections & Registration, this position serves as the primary point of contact for individuals and organizations seeking permission to reproduce Museum materials. Working closely with Collections, Curatorial, Exhibitions, Education, Marketing and other Museum colleagues, the Coordinator research rights, evaluates requests, prepares agreements and ensures collection materials are used appropriately and in accordance with Museum policies.
The ideal candidate combines strong research and organizational skills with an understanding of copyright and intellectual property and an interest in helping make museum collections accessible through responsible use.

This position is full-time and exempt. Compensation is commensurate with experience and aligned with internal compensation structure. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
