Amazon's Global Risk Management and Claims team is seeking a Risk Analyst to assist with the development and management of Amazon's corporate insurance programs, including supporting insurance program management, contract review, and implementing risk management tools and techniques for new and existing business initiatives. Additionally, the Risk Analyst will manage the insurance programs for some Amazon owned subsidiaries.

The Risk Analyst will coordinate and leverage a network of partners to scale department support globally by engaging with operations, finance, and legal teams. Reporting to a Risk Manager within Treasury, this Risk Analyst will join a technical risk team that is responsible for assessing, mitigating, and managing Amazon's global corporate insurance placement programs.

The successful candidate is a team player with willingness to roll up their sleeves and able to earn trust quickly, and is effective at managing risk with and through others.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provide risk management consultation and guidance to internal customers. • Partner with internal stakeholders on insurance program changes, retention, and exposures. • Assist Risk Manager on collection and review of necessary legal documents and exposure information for insurance placements, renewals, audits, forecasting, and allocation purposes. • Manage premium invoice payment process and administration brokers and carriers. • Assist with management of carrier accounts in the vendor management system. • Identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities. • Assist Risk Manager with risk assessments and mitigation. • Utilize the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to manage exposures and policies. • Establish data, metrics, and benchmarking through multiple sources to evaluate loss trends and cost of risk to prioritize resources (e.g. RMIS, actuarial reports, and broker data). • Manage insurance policies and forms, reinsurance contracts, and vendor contracts. • Conduct contract reviews, confirming insurance provisions comply with Amazon's risk tolerances and insurance programs, providing contract owner with suggested revisions and direct consultation with external partners as needed. • Provide risk consultation on contractual risk transfer techniques in addition to insurance specific provisions. • Manage updates to coverage and contract recommendations on various internal sites.
