Job Title: Risk Analyst III
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Arrangement: Remote (candidates based in California would be ideal - Bay Area/San Francisco/Menlo Park - however, open to candidates anywhere in the US with the right skill set)
Pay Range: $60-$65/hour

Summary
As a Risk Analyst III within the People Risk Privacy and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our People Data Subject Rights (DSR) Program. This program is a vital component of our global People Data Privacy Program, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of data integrity and transparency for our employees worldwide.

You will be responsible for providing global coverage and operational support for employee data requests, ensuring compliance with evolving international regulations.

Responsibilities
  • DSR Program Support: Execute and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of People Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests from employees globally.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to global data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other emerging "Rest of World" (RoW) privacy regulations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks within the data handling process and implement controls to safeguard sensitive personnel information.
  • Operational Excellence: Support the People Data Privacy Program by streamlining workflows for data retrieval, redaction, and secure delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, HR, and IT teams to resolve complex data privacy inquiries and maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance audits.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in risk management, privacy compliance, or data protection.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proven understanding of global regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their application within a corporate environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and regulatory language to make informed risk decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive employee information with extreme confidentiality and professionalism.
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Business Operations, Law, Information Security, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience specifically within HR or People Data privacy.
  • Certifications such as CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) or similar risk management credentials.
  • Familiarity with automated DSR management tools and privacy software.
Must Have Skills
  • Core control in classic risk management structure - any time there is a workforce & private data, need to have a way for folks to access their data, know what they have collected.
  • Someone who has US or European experience from privacy law perspective would be ideal, CA folks will support primarily US California privacy law
  • Strong foundational knowledge of global data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to handle "straight up" case management workflows—meaning you are comfortable with process-oriented, high-accountability tasks.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Direct experience managing DSR or SAR (Subject Access Requests) in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with HR data structures and privacy automation tools.
  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or similar privacy certifications
