A well‑established refining and fuel distribution company is hiring a Senior Risk Analyst Supervisor in Houston, TX. The organization operates multiple large‑scale refineries across key domestic markets and maintains an extensive network of terminals, pipelines, and specialty manufacturing facilities. With a workforce of several thousand employees and significant aggregate crude-processing capacity, the company is recognized as a stable, well‑branded supplier in the petroleum industry.

As the Commercial Pricing Supervisor, you'll lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining the pricing models and forward curves that support the valuation of physical and derivative energy products. You'll oversee ETRM pricing processes, ensure accurate portfolio valuations, partner with cross-functional teams to improve systems and workflows, and serve as the go-to expert for pricing, market data, and risk analytics across the organization.

Job Details
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or at least 7 years of experience in commodity market risk management.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience (2+ years) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of exchange-traded derivatives (ICE, CME, etc.) and industry pricing sources such as Argus, Platts, and OPIS used in forward curve development.
  • Proven ability to develop and improve risk management processes, oversee pricing systems, and drive operational enhancements.
  • Solid knowledge of energy markets, including crude oil, refined products, and renewable fuels (RINs).
  • Hands-on experience with ETRM platforms, preferably ION RightAngle, along with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative background in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to mentor teams and collaborate across departments.
