Pay Rate: $38.46 / hour


Duties:


+ Analyze workplace processes, equipment, and environments to identify potential hazards and assess associated risks, with an emphasis on ergonomics

+ Develop and implement safety procedures, policies, and standards to prevent accidents and injuries, including Process Safety Management/Risk Management Programs

+ Create and deliver training programs to employees and management on safety procedures, emergency protocols, and regulatory compliance, including Lockout/Tagout programs

+ Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices

+ Identify potential hazards associated with job functions and equipment, then present and implement corrective actions

+ Participate in accident and incident investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence

+ Stay informed of changes to OSHA and EPA regulations impacting the facility

+ Present solutions for maintaining or achieving compliance with regulatory requirements

+ Contribute to the design and selection of safe equipment and systems, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

+ Evaluate new equipment for safety requirements, such as machine guarding and interlocks

+ Communicate safety information effectively to all levels of the organization

+ Collaborate with plant engineers, maintenance, and technical specialists on safety initiatives

+ Maintain records as required by policy, practice, and procedures

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds over your head

+ Climbing into and under equipment

+ Frequently climbing stairs, ladders, and using cross-overs

Position Requirements:


+ Bachelor's degree

+ Experience with Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, workstation design

+ Experience with PSM/RMP programs preferred

+ Minimum 2-5 years experience in an industrial setting

+ Firm understanding of OSHA General Industry standards. Familiarity with EPA standards a plus

+ Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques (5-why, Fishbone, FMEA) highly desired.

+ Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex safety concepts and instructions to diverse audiences

+ Detail-oriented mindset committed to excellence and continuous improvement

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

+ Proactive and adaptable; a driver for change


Hybrid environment of office and manufacturing floor.
