Summary of Job Description
Under the direct supervision of an experienced Risk Analyst or Manager, the Risk Associate helps investigate basic level claims including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and other product lines, assisting with achieving timely disposition of assigned claims. This position collects evidence from claim files and may make first contact with injured associates, guests, operators, and vendor partners related to claims. This position assists with conducting store inspections or virtual audits on safety issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of an experienced Risk Analyst or Manager, the Risk Associate helps investigate basic level claims including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and other product lines, assisting with achieving timely disposition of assigned claims.
- Investigates basic level claims including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and other product lines.
- Maintains accurate diary and proactive review of claims.
- Works closely with other team members in supporting administration of risk and safety programs, training materials, and presentations to Operations.
- Helps Risk Analysts and Managers to enroll Operations and SC departments to elevate risk management standards.
- Supports training on safety and compliance issues conducted by Risk Analysts and Managers.
- Handles logistics of setting up training sessions and gathering feedback.
- Helps collect pertinent evidence for claims files.
- Provides support for ad hoc reports.
- Responds on a timely basis to Operations inquiries concerning Worker Compensation or other claims and refers issues to Risk Analysts.

Your background & experience
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum one year of relevant experience required
- If hired, successful completion of annual store training
- Obtaining a valid Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: P1 28-35 Hour
Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors including work location and experience.
