And above all else – we always put our team members first.ResponsibilitiesThe Risk Management Team at First Realty Management is responsible for protecting employees and property of First Realty Management across its 5 divisions.First Realty Management (FRM) – corporate entity responsible for Property ManagementApartments (wholly owned and managed)Apartments (managed on behalf of clients)Condominiums (managed on behalf of clients)Commercial RetailThe role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with Finance and Operations to manage insurance policies and renewals and administer claims. This person will analyze insurance policies to ensure proper coverage is in place, by administering and tracking claims, and by educating employees on preventative maintenance, loss control and claims management.Key tasks for the roleIdentification of risk and potential loss to First Realty Management from its operationsResearch and identification of options to mitigate risk and lossNegotiation and implementation of insurance policies through and/or working with Insurance Agents.Monitoring, renewal and payment of all insurance policies to ensure appropriate coverage is in placeIdentifying changes to policies and its impact on Risk ManagementEnsuring the completion of Loss Control ItemsIdentification and implementation of preventative maintenance measuresTimely reporting of any Incident Reports and Claims to insurance companiesMonitoring claims to ensure they are resolved and paid in a full and in a timely fashionTimely and accurate reporting on any legal matters relating to Risk Management and Insurance to Management including ensuring any associated items are monitored and appropriately addressedAccurate record keeping of all documents related to Risk ManagementAbility to report to management on losses incurred; the cost of risk mitigation; and analysis critical to demonstrating performance and decision makingThe education and support of staff to successfully achieve preventative risk measures and favorably resolve any Risk Management items.QualificationsKnowledge of insurance contractsKnowledge of insurance and risk transfer techniquesExcellent attention to detailBasic math skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong computer skills including knowledge of MS Word and ExcelRequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field preferredBasic industry designations (INS, AIC, notary) preferredInsurance Producers License in the State of Massachusetts preferredMinimum 3 years of risk management and claim management experienceProperty management experience preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
