Business Segment Overview:
Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.
Position purpose: StoneXisseekingamotivatedEnergyRiskManagementConsultanttojoinourcommercialenergyteam.Thisrolefocusesondevelopingandmanagingrelationshipswithfueldistributors,propanemarketers,refiners,manufacturers,agriculturalcooperatives,andotherenergyconsumers.Theconsultantwillserveasatrustedadvisor,helpingclientsunderstandmarketriskandimplementstrategiestomanageexposuretocrudeoil,diesel,gasoline,andpropanepricevolatility.
Responsibilities:
Primary duties will include:
- Identifies, prospects and contacts potential clients to educate them on energy trading and risk management.
- Build a book of business consisting of consultancy program income as well as energy futures trade income.
- Analyzes individual client operations to determine market exposure, price sensitivity and financial risks.
- Attends trade conferences, seminars and symposiums to represent products, increase contact with existing client base and identify new opportunities.
- Executes futures, options and Swaps that support energy risk management strategies.
- Educate and inform customers of hedge opportunities
Qualifications:
To land this role you will need:
- Minimum 3 years of finance experience
- Time management skills. Should be able to work well under pressure managing several time sensitive deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
- Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across all levels
- Effective presentation and marketing skills
- Ability to learn technical products and explain complex products in clear, simplified terms to prospective clients
What makes you stand out:
- 3 years of experienceintheenergyindustryandknowledgeofcrudeoil,diesel,gasoline,and/orpropanemarkets.
- Background infueldistribution,petroleummarketing,refining,supplyandtrading,energyprocurement,commercialenergysales,orfinancialanalysis
- Risk management experience
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Finance, Economics, or related field to include Business Management
- Obtain Series 3 License within 60 days of hire (company sponsored)
Working style:
- Full time/5x a week in office
- Ability to travel
