ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

THE ROLE

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the Risk Management team with claims processing and data analysis. The intern will assist with uploading and tracking claims in the Risk Management System, gathering and organizing data related to incidents, claims, and losses, and supporting documentation, follow-up, and general claims administration.

Pay Considerations

The hourly pay for this position is $15 - $19 based on education level

Work Schedule

This position is scheduled to work up to 28 hours per week, Tuesday through Thursday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be available to work a minimum of three days per week. Session from August 24, 2026 - December 10, 2026.

Part-Time/Temporary Position

• This position is a part time/temporary position and does not include health or medical benefits.
• Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year (see weekly hours for this position under work schedule).

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, maintains strict confidentiality, and demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required, along with an interest or foundational knowledge in risk management or insurance concepts. Experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Current enrollment in any of the following degree programs: engineering , architecture, or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution.
• Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
• A valid Nevada driver's license
