JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Risk Remediation Ownership
Own remediation planning for identified technology risks, vulnerabilities, audit findings, control gaps, infrastructure defects, and regulatory commitments.
Translate risk findings into actionable project plans with defined scope, owners, milestones, dependencies, target dates, evidence requirements, and closure criteria.
Drive remediation execution across infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, vendor, and operations teams to ensure timely risk reduction.
Maintain clear remediation trackers, action logs, RAID logs, risk acceptance decisions, exception records, and management reporting for open items.
Ensure remediation outcomes are validated, documented, and formally closed with appropriate stakeholder signoff and audit-ready evidence.

 

Infrastructure Project Management
Lead infrastructure projects involving server upgrades, operating system remediation, database migrations, storage changes, network updates, cloud enablement, identity integrations, and technology refresh efforts.
Coordinate project schedules, change windows, implementation plans, testing cycles, backout plans, deployment readiness, and operational transition activities.
Manage technical dependencies across firewalls, DNS, certificates, service accounts, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, IAM, middleware, and downstream application interfaces.
Facilitate technical working sessions to confirm sequencing, resource alignment, risk impacts, implementation ownership, and production readiness.
Drive project delivery through stabilization and closure, ensuring production changes meet business, security, resiliency, and operational requirements.

 

Governance, Reporting & Escalation
Provide consistent status reporting on remediation progress, project milestones, risks, blockers, dependencies, aging items, and executive-level decisions needed.
Establish governance routines including weekly working groups, leadership updates, readiness checkpoints, issue reviews, and closure validation meetings.
Escalate delivery risks, missed commitments, resource constraints, technical blockers, change conflicts, and control issues through the appropriate management channels.
Partner with PMO, risk, audit, cybersecurity, infrastructure leadership, and business stakeholders to align remediation priorities with enterprise risk appetite and delivery timelines.
Prepare concise, executive-ready updates that clearly communicate risk posture, remediation burn-down, delivery health, required decisions, and next steps.

 

Remediation and Infrastructure Execution
Lead end-to-end remediation and infrastructure delivery from initiation, discovery, and planning through implementation, validation, stabilization, decommissioning where applicable, and closure.
Develop project charters, integrated remediation plans, delivery schedules, critical path views, resource models, budgets, RAID logs, and executive-level reporting cadence.
Define remediation scope, success criteria, entry/exit gates, rollback criteria, operational acceptance criteria, evidence requirements, and validation checkpoints.
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across compute, storage, network, database, middleware, cloud, IAM, cybersecurity, application support, operations, and vendor teams.
Manage dependencies across environments, interfaces, firewalls, DNS, certificates, service accounts, monitoring, backup, DR, and downstream consumer systems.
Drive readiness reviews, implementation planning, go/no-go decisions, transition checklists, production change windows, and post-implementation issue resolution.

 

Risk Remediation and Infrastructure Program Delivery
Manage risk remediation and infrastructure initiatives related to data center exits, technology refresh, control gap closure, vulnerability reduction, and audit finding remediation.
Lead server, operating system, database, storage, backup, virtualization, Citrix/VDI, endpoint, and infrastructure remediation initiatives.
Coordinate cloud migration and modernization efforts across AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid platforms, and supporting connectivity patterns.
Oversee network enablement, firewall rule migration, load balancer changes, routing, SD-WAN, DNS, certificate, and secure connectivity dependencies.
Support identity, access, privileged account, MFA/SSO, and service account remediation activities required for successful migration.
Ensure disaster recovery, resiliency, monitoring, logging, vulnerability remediation, and cyber controls are validated before migration closure.

 

Stakeholder, Vendor & Communications Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, application owners, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, risk/compliance, vendors, and leadership.
Facilitate governance forums, technical working sessions, implementation planning meetings, steering committees, readiness reviews, and status checkpoints.
Communicate remediation progress, risks, blockers, milestones, change impacts, downtime windows, decisions, and escalations in a clear, audience-appropriate manner.
Coordinate vendor statements of work, technical dependencies, implementation activities, support coverage, procurement needs, and contract deliverables.
Maintain stakeholder alignment on remediation sequencing, business impacts, testing responsibilities, acceptance criteria, evidence requirements, and operational handoff.

 

Risk, Compliance, Change & Operational Readiness
Identify, assess, track, and mitigate delivery risks, control gaps, issues, assumptions, decisions, and interdependencies across remediation and infrastructure workstreams.
Ensure remediation activities follow organizational change management, release management, risk acceptance, audit, security, and infrastructure governance processes.
Prepare and maintain audit-ready evidence packages, including approvals, testing results, validation screenshots, change records, signoffs, and closure documentation.
Coordinate vulnerability remediation, security control validation, access reviews, encryption/certificate readiness, and infrastructure hardening requirements.
Confirm operational readiness through runbooks, monitoring, alerting, knowledge transfer, support handoff, SLA/OLA alignment, and post-implementation hypercare.

 

Reporting & Governance
Create executive-ready dashboards, weekly status updates, milestone reports, financial summaries, risk heatmaps, and decision logs.
Maintain integrated project schedules, remediation trackers, implementation plans, stakeholder matrices, action logs, RAID logs, and dependency registers.
Report project health, budget status, resource utilization, schedule variance, defect trends, remediation readiness, and KPI progress to senior management.
Drive governance discipline by documenting decisions, approvals, escalations, change impacts, control evidence, and closure status throughout the remediation lifecycle.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; equivalent enterprise infrastructure experience may be considered.
5+ years of project management experience leading enterprise risk remediation, infrastructure modernization, data center, cloud, network, server, database, or platform projects.
Demonstrated experience managing complex remediation plans, migration cutovers, production implementation windows, technical dependencies, and cross-functional delivery teams.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, operational environments, change management, risk management, and service transition practices.
Experience managing multiple concurrent remediation workstreams or infrastructure delivery waves in a regulated, fast-paced, or high-availability environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, auditors, risk/compliance partners, PMO, and executive leadership.

 

Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent project/program management certification.
ITIL Foundation certification or practical experience with IT service management, change, incident, problem, release, and service transition processes.
Experience in regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Government, or other environments with strong audit and security requirements.
Experience managing data center migration, cloud migration, Citrix/VDI upgrades, database/platform migration, cybersecurity remediation, or infrastructure resiliency initiatives.
Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft Project, Excel-based migration trackers, SharePoint, Power BI, and project portfolio management tooling.

 

Technical Knowledge
Infrastructure operations, data center services, cloud and hybrid platforms, compute, storage, network, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
Windows, Linux/Unix, virtualization platforms such as VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, and container or platform services where applicable.
Databases, middleware, file transfer, application integration points, batch/scheduler dependencies, service accounts, certificates, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers.
Cybersecurity controls, IAM, MFA/SSO, privileged access, vulnerability remediation, logging, monitoring, resiliency, and audit evidence requirements.
Remediation and infrastructure delivery techniques including discovery, dependency mapping, wave planning, runbooks, implementation command center, validation, and hypercare models.

 

Success Metrics
Risk remediation milestones delivered on schedule, within approved scope, and with documented ownership, dependencies, risks, and closure criteria.
Successful production implementations with validated backout plans, minimized business disruption, and timely resolution of post-implementation issues.
Completion of vulnerability reduction, audit finding closure, control gap remediation, infrastructure modernization, decommissioning, cloud migration, or technology refresh objectives.
Reduced technology risk through proactive dependency management, issue escalation, readiness reviews, evidence validation, and documented go/no-go decisions.
Compliance with change management, security, audit, resiliency, and operational readiness requirements.

Reports To: Director of Infrastructure, Migration Program Director, Technology Delivery Manager, PMO Director, or Head of Infrastructure Services.
