Instructional Designer I (Remote: East Coast)

Job Summary

The Instructional Designer - RMP is responsible for transforming complex registration, title, and compliance content into clear, engaging, and scalable learning materials. This role partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), field leaders, and the Learning & Enablement team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality training assets that support national expansion of the RMP program.

This position plays a critical role in standardizing curriculum, improving learner experience, and enabling consistent delivery across multiple states and audiences (dealers, lenders, and agents).

Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Instructional Design

  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training materials
  • Translate complex regulatory and process-driven content into learner-friendly formats
  • Create participant guides, facilitator guides, job aids, and reference materials
  • Ensure content aligns with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices

SME Collaboration & Content Extraction

  • Partner with internal SMEs (operations, compliance, field teams) to gather and validate content
  • Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to extract knowledge
  • Organize and synthesize fragmented or inconsistent materials into cohesive curriculum
  • Ensure accuracy and alignment with state-specific requirements

Curriculum Standardization & Scalability

  • Build and maintain standardized templates and design frameworks
  • Support development of scalable learning programs across multiple states
  • Contribute to creation of certification tracks and structured learning paths
  • Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and instructional quality

Learning Experience & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate existing materials and recommend improvements
  • Incorporate feedback from learners, trainers, and stakeholders
  • Optimize content for engagement, clarity, and usability
  • Support updates based on regulatory or process changes

Tools & Technology

  • Develop eLearning using tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms
  • Maintain content within LMS or learning platforms
  • Utilize collaboration tools to manage content development workflows

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is: $62,000 - $72,000

Final compensation for this position will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, education, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
