RN – Ambulatory Care
Location: Syracuse, NY Shift: Day | 4×10 Hours | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM Travel Pay Package: Up to $2,300–$2,400/week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an ambulatory healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and be capable of independently performing the majority of patient care responsibilities with minimal orientation and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care appropriate to the assigned ambulatory specialty.
Conduct thorough nursing assessments and evaluate patient needs.
Perform clinical nursing duties with minimal orientation and supervision.
Follow specialty-specific clinical standards, protocols, and requirements.
Monitor and document patient information accurately in the medical record.
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians/providers, and members of the healthcare team.
Support efficient patient flow and quality care within the ambulatory setting.
Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, safety, and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
Current New York State RN License.
Current BLS Certification.
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care nursing experience within the past 2 years.
Experience working in a hospital with comparable size and acuity.
Travel nurses must have experience in an equal or higher-level hospital or trauma center.
Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Successful completion of required health clearance, drug screening, and background check.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience
Ambulatory Care / Primary Care.
Ambulatory clinic experience.
EPIC Ambulatory experience.
EPIC Ambulatory Access experience.
Ophthalmology.
Patient triage.
Telemetry.
Medical coding and insurance review.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary ambulatory healthcare environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a clinically strong and adaptable RN with recent acute-care experience who can transition effectively into an ambulatory setting and provide safe, efficient patient care with minimal supervision.
