About the SAGE Behavioral Health Unit

The SAGE Behavioral Health Unit is a specialized 10-bed facility located within our organization, dedicated to providing acute inpatient care for adults aged 55 and older experiencing severe symptoms related to major mental illnesses, as well as organic conditions like Dementia. We adopt a family-centered approach, fostering a nurturing environment where patients receive tailored care that addresses their unique needs. Our primary objectives are to ensure a safe and secure setting while equipping patients, families, and caregivers with strategies to manage behavioral changes associated with aging.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will elevate the standard of care by delivering clinical expertise and compassionate service. Our Behavioral Health program focuses on individualized treatment for adolescents and adults facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. In your role on the acute inpatient unit, you will collaborate with physicians, social workers, mental health counselors, and other professionals to provide age-appropriate psychiatric nursing care. Qualifications Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice required within 90 days of graduation or an active license.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
  • BLS certification is required upon hire.
  • Previous clinical experience is preferred.
  • One year of inpatient psychiatric experience is desirable.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
