    Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Position

    • Location: Knoxville, TN• Job Type: Travel Contract• Duration: 13 weeks• Shift: 4×10s DaysPay: $2,404/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Knoxville, TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate has strong Cath Lab or critical care experience, excellent technical and clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring safety and readiness before, during, and after interventions.
    • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements.
    • Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to sedation or interventions.
    • Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and contrast agents accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with physicians, cardiovascular technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide coordinated care.
    • Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and recovery expectations.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
    • Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices in Cath Lab nursing.

    Qualifications

    • Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
    • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Cath Lab or critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting.
    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
    • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills in high-acuity cardiovascular care.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
    • Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
