A 198-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiology/PCU unit in Farmington, NM. The regional medical center holds PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations and offers a broad spectrum of services including a cancer center, nephrology unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, childbirth center, and day surgery center. Due to the facility's geographic position, trauma cases spanning Levels I, II, and III are regularly flown in from the surrounding region.

The role. The RN will provide direct patient care on the Cardiology/Progressive Care Unit, managing a patient population that commonly presents with STEMI, non-STEMI, stroke, post-catheterization care, and ETOH-related diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and timely recognition and escalation of changes in patient condition within an intermediate care environment. Clinical duties include collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, performing thorough nursing assessments, and executing physician orders with accuracy and safety. The position requires strong familiarity with cardiology workflows and the ability to manage acutely ill patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and intervention.

What we're looking for.
  • Associate degree in Nursing or higher required
  • Active RN license required prior to start date; candidates without New Mexico or Compact licensure are eligible to apply
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of IMC or Cardiology experience required; 2 years preferred
  • BLS certification required at time of submission
  • All additional required life support certifications may be obtained after hire (refer to Life Support Certification document for specifics)
  • Resume must reflect Nurse Practicum and all experience in MM/YYYY format

Schedule. Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

Compensation. $29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $1 sign-on bonus
