RN – Cardiothoracic Stepdown RN

Position: RN – Cardiothoracic Stepdown RN (Permanent)
Specialties: Cardiothoracic Stepdown, Post-Op Cardiac, Telemetry/Acute Care
Location: Fort Myers, FL 33901
Pay:
• $32 – $50/hr

Bonuses:

Schedule:
• 12-hour shifts (e.g., 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• May occasionally stay past 5:00 PM due to late surgical cases
• Must be willing to float within ~1 hour radius as needed (home base: closest clinic/facility)

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized care for cardiothoracic stepdown/post-operative cardiac patients
• Monitor, assess, and document complex patient conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and post-op interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care
• Float to nearby facilities within ~1 hour when required
• Support mentoring and development of Assistant Nurse Managers (ANMs)

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year cardiothoracic stepdown or related acute care experience (required)
• Active RN license (Florida licensure required or eligibility prior to start)
• BLS/ACLS (as required by facility)
