RN Cath Lab
Location: Mission Hills, CA 91345
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours: 4x10s | 40 Hours per Week
Responsibilities:
Prepare and assess patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
Monitor patients during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Administer medications, moderate sedation, and contrast agents per physician orders and facility protocols
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other cardiovascular procedures
Monitor and manage patient recovery following procedures and respond to complications as needed
Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and procedural outcomes
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in emergency response situations and maintain readiness for on-call responsibilities as required
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience
Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
Experience in a hospital-based acute care setting
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Experience with conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring
Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and procedural complications
Knowledge of cardiac catheterization equipment, procedures, and sterile techniques
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Moderate Sedation Certification
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Prior travel experience
