We are seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Sweetwater, TX. You will be joining the team at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, overseeing a Med/Surg unit with an Average Daily Census (ADC) of approximately 10.
In this role, you will lead care for adult medical-surgical patients, telemetry, general surgery, orthopedic, GYN surgery, and occasional pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership as Charge Nurse on the Med/Surg unit during night shifts.
Manage direct patient care for adult Med/Surg, Telemetry, and surgical patients (Ortho, GYN, General), with occasional pediatric coverage.
Utilize CPSI / Evident EMR system for documentation.
Maintain a high standard of patient safety and unit workflow.
Participate in holiday coverage as needed.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience (Required).
Leadership: Prior Charge Nurse experience (Required).
Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN License (Compact or TX state license).
Certifications Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
