RN - Clinic Nurse Educator (Internal Candidates Only)

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, the Clinic Nurse Educator is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs and initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of our nursing and medical assistant staff. This Nurse will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify educational needs, develop curricula, and implement training programs that align with industry best practices. The Clinic Nurse Educator will play a crucial role in promoting continuous learning and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

• 0.8FTE (32 hours)
• Monday - Friday
• 8am- 5pm

Compensation:

• $42.66/hr + DOE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works with the Clinic Nurse Supervisors and Medical Assistant Coordinator to facilitate Nursing and Medical Assistant staff meetings, orientation/trainings, and other educational opportunities to ensure best practices are being utilized throughout the clinic. Plans for and anticipates changes and subsequent adaptations. 2. Develops proficient working knowledge of Cerner and assists in training clinic staff assuring consistency, compliance, and evolution of new workflows within the EHR.
2. Collaborate with nursing leadership and subject matter experts to develop
3. comprehensive curricula and training materials.
4. Conduct needs assessments and identify areas for improvement to enhance the
5. overall clinical performance of the nursing staff.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date
7. knowledge of industry standards.
8. Provide individual coaching and mentoring support to nursing staff to facilitate
9. professional growth and development.
10. Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in the healthcare industry,
11. particularly in nursing education.
12. Participate in the orientation and onboarding process for new clinic support
13. staff: Medical Assistants and Nurses.
14. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among
15. the clinic team
16. Performs other clinical nursing duties as assigned or as needed to meet the
17. needs of the department and organization.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attends all staff meetings and relevant organizational meetings unless prior excused.
2. Attends all mandatory in-service classes.
3. Completes all annual related educational competencies.
4. Maintains certification in BLS
5. Working knowledge of HR, organizational-wide policy and procedures and regulatory requirements/standards (i.e. OSHA, CMS, etc.)
6. Current knowledge of healthcare environmental trends

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):

1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in MT.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing Education preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
4. Prior experience in nursing education, training, or clinical teaching is highly preferred.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
6. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
7. Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with Cerner and other healthcare technology systems.
