Job Objective:
Demonstrates advanced clinical and communication skills who, under the direction of the leadership, is responsible for optimal provision of quality patient care and assists with functioning of an assigned unit/clinic. Assumes clinical and operational leadership responsibility of the unit/clinic providing continuity and coordination unit/clinic activities. Demonstrates commitment to system values through customer/patient focus and continuous process improvement. Facilitates staff involvement in Performance Excellence. Assists leadership in monitoring compliance with all State and Federal laws. Accountable for assurance of staff compliance to Joint Commission Standards.

Education:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's in Nursing
Licensure/Certification:
Required: California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) required in all departments upon hire;
Additional certifications required as outlined based on assigned department:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA:

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA:

Neonatal Resuscitation Advanced Provider (NRP) certification from AHA and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP):

Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support (STABLE) course completion:

Oncology Nurse Certification:

Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification:

Required: Three (3) years of clinical RN experience
Preferred: Experience in the area of specialty
Reports To: Clinical Manager or Director Supervises: Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Patient Care Technicians and other positions as assigned Ages of Patients (as assigned): Neonate/Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Blood Borne Pathogens: High Potential
