    The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care. This role coordinates staffing, patient flow, and resource utilization while supporting productivity and financial goals. The Clinical Supervisor collaborates with physicians, leaders, and coworkers to improve processes, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and promote positive patient outcomes.

    As a servant leader, the Clinical Supervisor mentors and supports staff, drives change initiatives, recognizes team achievements, and fosters professional growth. They hold team members accountable for performance, policy compliance, and regulatory standards while actively participating in employee evaluations with the Clinical Manager. All responsibilities are performed in alignment with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

    Position Details:

    SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE

    10,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience

    NO CONTRACT

    What You'll Do

    • Coordinate and oversee daily nursing care for NICU patients.

    • Lead and support nursing staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.

    • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for coworkers.

    • Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

    • Assist with staffing coordination and operational needs.

    • Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

    • Address patient, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and compassion.

    • Support a culture of engagement, shared governance, and Nursing Excellence.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

    • Current RN license in the applicable state of practice.

    • 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.

    • Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification or ability to obtain within probationary period.

    • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).

    • Leadership or charge nurse experience.

    • Relevant specialty certifications.

    About Company

    Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 185 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who wanted to help the poor women and children of Dublin. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill her dreams. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to poor women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, the first religious order not bound to the rules of the cloister, whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. By the time Catherine died in 1841, there were convents in Ireland and England, and in 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1871, they traveled to St. Louis and from there throughout the Midwest, beginning what would, today be known as Mercy.
