The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Program Coordinator serves as a keycardiacleader responsible for managing and coordinating the cardiac electrophysiology program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing workflow efficiencythroughout each facility. A critical component of this position is managing and maintaining the Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) Atrial Fibrillation (Afib) certification across the network, including oversight of data collection, reporting, and program performance. The Coordinator collaborates closely with electrophysiologists, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure adherence to evidence-based guidelines, drive quality improvement initiatives, and support program growth and compliance.

Candidates must have a background in electrophysiology (EP) or healthcare compliance to effectively manage clinical and regulatory aspects of the program.

Responsibilities


Coordinate nursing program activities and resources within clinical specialty or department.


+ Develop and oversee program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures. Develop and document care plans and therapy programs.

+ Oversee and ensure plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated. Ensure necessary resources and/or equipment is obtained as ordered.

+ May supervise and direct nursing staff.

+ Coordinate, assemble, and maintain documentation as required.


Requirements


Licensure / Certification / Registration:


+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


Education:


+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.


Additional Preferences


Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in ICU, ED, or cath lab - experience in a leadership or coordinator role strongly preferred.
