Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Perioperative Services the QC, is responsible to coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of the quality assurance performance improvement program, which includes all ancillary, nursing, and support areas in Perioperative Services. Responsible to identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure regulatory compliance. The position will also investigate incident reports, patient complaints, patient care issues, and other issues as requested by the Perioperative Director & Perioperative managers. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Two (2) years of current OR RN experience is required. Recent experience in policy/ protocol development is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Certified Nurse Operating Room Certification (CNOR) & American Society of PerioAnesthesia Nurses Certification (ASPAN) certification is recommended.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Proficient in Excel. work and power point. Project management experience. Experience with updating policies /procedures to met regulatory requirements.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
