Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Access
Location: PeaceHealth
Schedule: Full-Time (0.90 FTE), Night Shift
Salary Range: $46.60 - $88.26 per hour
Actual compensation will depend on factors such as education, training, experience, seniority, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Multiple openings may be available.

About the Role
PeaceHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Access to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment. In this role, you will deliver professional nursing care while partnering with interdisciplinary teams to support the needs of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure privacy at all times
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and care teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Support patient flow and continuity of care across departments
- Oversee supplies, medications, and staff break coverage
- Perform limited diagnostic procedures such as point-of-care testing and x-rays (as applicable)
- Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and education
- Assist with patient transport as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience
*
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience required
- Completion of non-violent crisis intervention training during orientation
Licensure & Certifications
Required:
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
ACLS certification
Washington State Food Handler's Card
Within 12 months of hire or transfer:
ENPC, TNCC, PALS certifications

- Ability to balance patient, staff, and organizational needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical systems
Working Conditions
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move patients (up to 35 lbs. without assistance; more with equipment)
- Push/pull equipment up to 45 lbs.
- Perform CPR for extended periods (up to 20 minutes)
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and standing
- Lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
Environment
- Exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and airborne particles
- Work in fast-paced, sometimes noisy conditions
Sensory & Communication
- Normal vision and hearing (with or without correction)
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
