Job Title: RN - CVICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including cardiac surgery and acute cardiac complications. Performs continuous monitoring, manages advanced therapies, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team.

Education & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

• 1–2 years of CVICU, ICU, cardiovascular, or critical care nursing experience preferred.

• Experience with post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• BLS certification required.

• ACLS certification required.

• CCRN certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and continuously monitor critically ill cardiovascular patients, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status.

• Manage medications, IV therapies, blood products, vasoactive medications, and other prescribed treatments.

• Monitor and manage ventilators, drains, invasive lines, and other critical care equipment.

• Recognize and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies, hemodynamic instability, and other changes in patient condition.

• Provide post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients and monitor for complications.

• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

• Educate patients and families when appropriate and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
